ReBoot here & on Substack

Greetings FRENZ!

SO DID YOU KNOW:

Wild Women Wisdom here is a website I started in 2013 as a place to merge my MA studies and clinical internship in depth psychotherapy (I was changing careers in my mid-thirties from teaching to counseling) against my practical interests in both earth-based and mystery teachings. It was begun, and remains, in homage of the great cantadora and teacher and depth soul worker, Clarissa Pinkola Estés and her powerful work on the Wild Woman archetype.

I have walked a solitary earth path since the harvest season of 1995. My interests in the earth path started out totally secular. It evolved over the years informed by my own processes of recovery for substance abuse and later developmental and sex assault trauma. Now my practice includes deep and powerful devotional spirit work. It also attempts to be decolonizing in the tradition of one of my teachers, Starhawk, and is grounded in many ways in the reClaiming tradition.

I am a third generation radical feminist in the footsteps of riot grrrls, whose zine work in the DC area in the early 90’s changed and likely saved my life. 3rd Gen was trans inclusive (as I was raised Queer stood for the whole caboodle) and grew at the direction of Kimberlé Crenshaw to become actively intersectional.

Wild Women Wisdom the website coexisted along with the development of my Masters thesis, “Menstrual Spiritualism: Making the Sacred Return”. It was an alchemical hermeneutic research attempt to intentionally apply the 8 phases of the moon/ 8 seasonal passings of the natural year as an alchemical process that actively engaged the same 8 phases in the monthly menstrual cycle. See Demetra George’s “Mysteries of the Dark Moon” for the overlap of the moon against the seasons metaphorically.

It was my posit that applying this 8 phases Women’s Mysteries “story” would created an empowering psycho-spiritual experience of Self as Sacred for female and femme identifying people.

Simultaneously, I continue to believe it helps empower women to deconstruct white supremacy and patriarchy from the bodies of one’s own body—where woman is taught to devalue Self and Body as object, to see this “objectification” as “injected” into psyche from birth (to use the words of teacher, decolonizer and village builder Shawna Murray Brown about how as a black body white supremacy as the top of the value of the Patriarchal hierarchy is injected.)

To deconstruct from the mindbody, the heartbody, the spiritbody, the ethericbody, the Ancestralbody. The SoulPsyche Body: The Trauma Body: The Collective Trauma Body the shadow of the Patriarchy: the endless mores of consumption, exploitation, degradation; and white supremacy’s values of destroy, abuse, violence and degradation.

I shuttered the website Wild Women Wisdom in 2022 tho along the way it became the cornerstone of my Women’s Embodiment work and remains my favorite work. I’ve been able to build a bitching little land conservation and Nature Sanctuary to share it, and to community build and ground it all as an Offering back to Nature, my first and always home. We have a fabulous Women’s Mysteries group in our 8th year. We are located on the midAtlantic coast of the US, on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, called The Delmarva Free School. We back up to thousands of protected bald cypress habitat and do rewilding and habitat restoration and are open to the public by appointment to learn more. Come by and say hi if you’re ever passing by on the way to the sea~

Wild Rose Buds, sticky with intoxicating sweet, harvested today for Lunar Beltane Full moon mini Retreat this week

Anyhow. About 6 months back I joined substack as Swampland stories to start creative writing which if earth is my first home the words are my favorite mmm decoration? Celebration?

Sacrament. That’s it. The holy mundane.

I keep tripping over my own feet over there at Swampland stories bc, I finally realized, the next iteration of Wild Women Wisdom is calling, way finding again…leading me to perhaps it’s forever home? Here. And I need to launch that first and to be able to seperate the wheat from the chaff in the imaginal, so to speak.

So I will be posting here again for the esbats and sabbats I follow on my earth path. These same posts will go live on substack, too, so if you’re over there subscribe! Will be working out the practical sacred alchemy a day at a time and most importantly: Be on the look out to join Substack at a deep discount Founders level for access to virtual sacred circles and journey work in psyche, exploring the Divine Feminine, Women’s Mysteries, and more. All the good info remains free here and there now, too. Stay tuned!
